In its continuing quest for innovative excellence in medical aesthetics, VIVACY Laboratories has developed a new-generation injection delivery system, Bi-SOFT® Injection Technology. These syringes offer greater precision and comfort and are specifically designed to help practitioners in their daily practice

What is Bi-SOFT® technology? The VIVACY’s main design challenge was to find a compromise between stability and manoeuvrability, which may be crucial for certain aesthetic applications.

The centre of gravity of the new Bi‑SOFT® syringe was placed near the second edge of the piston closer to the physician’s hand to increase the stability of the syringe when the pressure on the thumb rest is strong. In addition, such positioning makes the syringe fold naturally into the palm of the physician’s hand to obtain excellent repeatability of the positioning of the syringe in their hands. This concept has obtained a French and International patent by VIVACY*.

Bi-material technology

The body of the syringe including barrel, plunger and Luer tip are made of transparent medical-grade polycarbonate material. The ‘soft-touch’ parts of the syringe, made from TPE (Thermoplastic elastomer), provide extra grip and stability between the surface of the syringe and the physician’s gloves. It also reduces the injection force sensation, especially when using high-viscosity volumising HA products.

Outstanding design

The Bi-SOFT® syringes are ergonomically designed and are easy to use by beginners, as well as highly experienced injectors. The concave-shaped surface of the finger flange with the lifted edges helps avoid a lateral sliding of the doctor’s fingers from the gripping surface, and thereby secure the injection gesture.

The syringes are designed in 4 different colours to help physicians quickly differentiate the products: the purple is for wrinkle filling products (STYLAGE® S, STYLAGE® M, STYLAGE® L), the pink one is for STYLAGE® Special Lips, the green is for the volumisers (STYLAGE® XL and STYLAGE® XXL), and the blue one is for mesotherapy products (STYLAGE® Hydro and STYLAGE® HydroMax).

Improved handling

The syringe grip plate increased by 80% compared to conventional traditional syringes allowing the physician to operate it with the palm of the hand (and not simply with the thumb) without harming the stability of the syringe. The shape of the plunger head is preferably elliptical to avoid the presence of sharp edges that can cause pain and discomfort during the injection. In addition, the finger grip surface increased by 90% compared to conventional syringes providing a greater freedom in injection angles and making product administration more comfortable.

According to the Laboratoires VIVACY’s survey conducted on 97 physicians, 88% of them felt a great difference in handling, ease and regularity of injection, and are willing to integrate the new Bi-SOFT® system into their daily practice.

VIVACY SECURITY®:
The connected syringes

Laboratoires VIVACY is the first company on the market that developed and launched worldwide an innovative product authentication system based on RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology: VIVACY SECURITY®.

Special RFID chips with a unique number are now integrated in each VIVACY’s dermal filler packaging to ensure better traceability as well as protection against counterfeits.

The RFID technology, used for the first time in the field of Aesthetic and Anti-ageing Medicine allows consumers around the world to verify the authenticity of the VIVACY’s injectable products by scanning them with their smartphones via a dedicated mobile application ‘My Vivacy’, available for free on the Apple Store, Google Play and 360 Mobile Assistant (Chinese Android App Store).

The development of this innovative e-verification system is a part of the VIVACY’s commitment to make the dermal filler a referent, high-end and safe product for physicians and their patients.

The global mission of the laboratory is to create innovations capable of bringing new services and new types of experiences into the Aesthetics industry. New technologies can dramatically influence the way of choosing the product to perform aesthetic treatments safely.
