With this acquisition Viscot Medical becomes leading global manufacturer of surgical skin markers, medication labels, and patient safety products offering the widest variety of surgical marker tips and sizes. Surgeons around the world use surgical markers to clearly mark the surgical site prior to surgery to prevent ‘Wrong Site Surgery’, limiting a leading cause of medical malpractice losses and preventable patient pain and suffering.
OP Marks, Inc was founded in 2004 by a plastic surgeon to design skin markers and other patient safety products. Its line of mini surgical markers and other patient safety products are extremely popular and innovative. The daily business of OP‐marks will remain unchanged as it will be conducted by Viscot Medical’s newly formed division, OP‐Marks Medical, L.L.C. headquartered at 35A West Street, East Hanover, New Jersey.
