InMode has launched Morpheus8 Cool, a new radiofrequency (RF) microneedling handpiece with a large-surface cooling tip and updated treatment controls.

Announced on 9 September 2026, the device is available on the manufacturer’s expandable Morpheus8MAX platform. According to InMode, the handpiece uses cooling technology intended to manage the treatment’s thermal profile. The interface offers a Guided Mode with preset parameters and a Manual Mode for practitioner adjustment.

The company presents the changes as improvements to treatment comfort and operator control. Its announcement, however, does not establish through independent comparative clinical evidence that Morpheus8 Cool reduces complications, improves aesthetic results or shortens recovery relative to other RF microneedling systems.

The launch also comes against a backdrop of regulatory attention to RF microneedling safety. In October 2025, the US Food and Drug Administration warned of reports of serious complications associated with certain uses of devices in this category. The communication was category-wide and did not identify Morpheus8 Cool as the cause of those events.

For clinics, relevant considerations include the precise device configuration, training, patient selection, treatment parameters and market-specific regulatory status. The manufacturer’s new cooling and control features may interest practitioners, but their clinical value should be assessed using device-specific evidence rather than promotional claims alone.
